1962: Born in Tokyo
1986: Completed master's course in civil engineering (belonged to the Wandervogel club while in college, enjoying mountains such as Daisetsuzan in Hokkaido in the north and Mt. Miyanoura in Yakushima in the south)
1986-1989: Lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (climbed Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro)
1989-Present: Engaged in domestic and overseas water supply and sewerage projects as a construction consultant
2019: Published a paper on water purification methods in the International Water Association (IWA) (see below)
